Located in Hessville, Indiana is a park called Gibson Woods.  Lived out this way when we first got married 37 years ago...Oh MY!!  Time goes by fast when you are having fun!!

I love painting the snow....or should I say...not painting the snow.  In watercolor, the snow is the white of the paper.  It is not painted.  The blues are the shadows that are the reflection of the sky.  It takes some planning on using the whites of the paper to your best advantage.  Enjoy....

I decided to give this another try.  I wanted to keep it in a high keep value key.  This looks liek it was painting in black paint, but actually I used Neutral Tint, cerulean blue, burnt sienna, and some other blue.  lol.

This is Deep River in Hobart/Merrillville Indiana.  It is such a lovely spot to go any  time of the year.  So peaceful.  The river is not very deep.
