All the trees are up...in every room. Gifts were bought, made and wrapped.  The family party was last night....Now it's time to sit back and reflect.

This is actually what is left from a building that was taken down.  Sometimes they have to keep these structures up because of the gas lines, etc. that still need to be connected. I thought they added a lot of interest to the sky.

Spent the day in Chicago yesterday.  All these years that I have been going up there and yesterday was the first time I took the big bus tour.  It was really interesting.  I learned a lot and took tons of photos.

We parked at Navy Pier and hopped on a bus near there.  I love being at the pier.  It is one of my favorite places. We ate at Harry Carey's...great tavern burgers.  I even bought me a CUBS visor hat.  Don't tell anyone since I am a SOX fan, but this matched my outfit better.

I did this painting for the show that I am having next year....It sold right after I painted it.  So my client also wanted me to frame it... Julie used to work at this mill at Amoco.  So I am happy to see that it went to a good home.

When I was out purchasing my flowers this Spring (and boy did I purchase a lot of them), I took my camera with me.  I took lots of photos.  This is from Johnson's nursery. Out of all of the places that I went to this year....I rate them as #!. When I walked among the flowers....I felt like I died and went to heaven.  It was so awesome.   Yes,m the flowers are all planted and are growing beautifully.....

It was a lovely day in the city today.  Took more photos....getting ready for my big show that will be in May of 2018.  That sounds like a long time away (it is) but this is a huge building so lots of new work will be needed :)
