Fall Reflections

watercolor
14" x 21"
landscape

Ok, here it is, the same subject matter that was done on that canvas board. Went back to traditional watercolor. It is amazing how the two surfaces react so differently. You need to try new things to grow as an artist. Each technique presents a new challenge and a different look. Enjoy!!

  4. Thanks M. R. I think each have their merits, but I like this one the best of the two. It is different seeing them in person. lol.

I can't wait for the Art Center's Fundraising gala to be over so that I can regain my life. I still have not completed the weekly challenge. Oh My!!!

  5. Wow -- you're really amazing with water. I like the watercolor one best, perhaps because I work mostly in watercolors myself, but I think it has a softness that captures the mood of your scene more completely. I am curious to try the canvas board now that you've shown the contrast, though! Thanks for showing both! :)

  6. Hi Ann. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my paintings. I will tell you one thing if you try the board...be careful...it does want to lift and come off. At the end you either have to put it under glass or spray it with an acrylic spray. I have 3 coats of spray on so it shouldn't go anywhere.
