Winter #2 - 2012

watercolor
12" x 22"

It is winter in Indiana. Friday night we had 9" of snow and on Sunday evening we had a thunderstorm....only in Indiana. Well the snow is all gone and maybe that is a good thing. I am sure that it will come back.

This is just one of the local barns in our area and then I kinda made up the rest of the composition . I thought winter would be a good season to paint it in. Enjoy!!

  1. Kathy, the fine tree shadows and the dark foliage lining the hills are such a wonderful foil for the barns and silo.

  3. Catherine...thanks so much. I do enjoy painting barns. I see so many in my area. Sometime I take the photo of the barn and make up the rest. I have an artistic license so I can do this...lol

  4. jyothisethu...I take it you have never been in snow. I must tell you...it is really amazing. It is hard to believe that this light little delicate flake can become 9" and great for packing snowballs or making snowmen. It can also be a mess for driving. But I do love it. Watch for more snow scenes to come. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. cheers..K
