I have no idea what kind of flowers these are...I was getting flowers at Johnson's Nursery and I saw this plant....so I took photos and painted it.  enjoy!!

When I was out purchasing my flowers this Spring (and boy did I purchase a lot of them), I took my camera with me.  I took lots of photos.  This is from Johnson's nursery. Out of all of the places that I went to this year....I rate them as #!. When I walked among the flowers....I felt like I died and went to heaven.  It was so awesome.   Yes,m the flowers are all planted and are growing beautifully.....

It was a lovely day in the city today.  Took more photos....getting ready for my big show that will be in May of 2018.  That sounds like a long time away (it is) but this is a huge building so lots of new work will be needed :)

This is a lily that was planted in the garden that I posted yesterday.  Steve planted this in memory of his wife Cara who passed away from breast cancer.

This is a painting that I completed of the garden that I visited, photographed and talked about in the last post.  The husband of Cara came today to see the painting and to see my gardens.  He loved the painting so I gave it to him.   This piece is really meaningful to him.  Cara passed away from Breast cancer at the age of 57 and he has continued to keep this garden up in her memory...  It is amazing how you can meet people on Facebook and become friends.  Today he and I were FB friends for 4 years.

Another demo that I did for one of my classes.

Last night I went to visit a friend and his garden.  We met on FB and he lives locally.  I have seen photos of his garden that he keeps alive in memory of his wife who passed from cancer.  The garden was awesome.  I took tons of photos and his lilies were begging to be painted...guess what I will be painting soon.

On a sadder note, I just found out over the weekend that a dear artist friend, student passed away a few days.  I remember her coming to class and telling me about her cancer.  That was not that long ago...  She will live on in the memories that I keep of her....I have many.  Hope you find a cowboy up in Heaven Darlene.

On a happy note....this past weekend I was in an art fair and I won best in 3-D art.  Big ribbon and some money to buy paint.  Sales were pretty good, too.
