Modern Farming

 6.5" x 14.5"

Farming has come a long way.  Technology has taken over.  But, in rural areas we can still find the old farmstead with the red barn and wooden silos.  Each has their own unique beauty.

Save the Farms.

Stay warm.  Stay well.

Up the Road a Bit

 9.5" x 13.5"

 Winter in Indiana....stay warm.

Farming Chores

 9" x 12"

We were hit with some snow storms this year.  Nothing terrible.  I live in the midwest and this is what we are used to getting.  It does look pretty and I love the blanket of snow over everything. There are about 2 feet of snow on my picnic table right now.  The tulips I planted  in the fall will love all of this snow when it melts.

On one of our trips out to take photos in the country, I ran across this old barn.  I love the character of it.  So I had to paint it.  I tried a watercolor board for this one.

Been up to Chicago a few times, too.  Got some new photos of the city that I can't wait to paint.

Stay well.  Stay Strong.

Untitled Snow Scene

 9: x 13"

Been out a few times taking photos of snow and barns and I have been using   this theme as a painting subject matter for January and February.  I have been   so busy painting that I haven't been able to post them here on my blog.  I do   post them on Face Book:  Kathy Los-Rathburn   and also on Instagram:
Watercolorunlimited.   Come and see me there.

Stay Well.  Stay Strong....and Stay Warm.
