Reflections II

watercolor 7 x 11

Here is another demo that I did for my students to show them how to do reflections and how to work with greens. I find working with the greens can be a bit harder to paint with.
This is a little cottage for all mom's to escape to..HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY LADIES!!

Another awesome painting.. The reflections are really great.. And those slight touches of pure blue and read in the foliage and in the reflection is a great touch..

Keep demoing. :)

Thanks jyothisethu, I do appreciate your comments. That is what keeps us painting. Painting with contrasts is to me the most important after good drawing.

You did fine reflection and I like the composition, is equilibrated very good. But, why in the USA are changing dates, here all everybody know the mother's day is on 8th December. MPDR. By the way, to my son also likes your watercolor

Hi Julian, In the US we always like to complicate things...especially holidays. Now so many of them are celebrated on a Monday so that we get a long weekend. Is that why you didn't wish me a happy mother's day? I thought it was because I do not have any kids. I am glad you like the reflections. Even more glad that your son likes my paintings...Now that is a reflection of you :) And it shows that he has good taste. MPDR

I'm really ashamed of not congratulate to you on this day, but truly you don't have any kids. In the Uited States are very clever with holidays, in Europe and mainly in Spain we needn't use tricks, we are all enough lazy and we have vacations constantly.

Hi Julian...what is a vacation. Dear hubby has not had one of those in a few years. MPDR. No we do not have any kids (kids is another name for goats). Nor do we have children. I guess it wasn't God's plan for us.
Come back later. I have a new painting to post but I have to go and deliver some paintings now for a show. Till later...take it easel.
tell you son to look me up on facebook. You should get on there too. Then we can chat and have coffee.

It surely doesn't seem that you found THESE greens difficult to paint in - a lovely little Mother's Day package for all the moms and this mom-to-be! Thanks a ton!
