This was the back yard of my friend Jack's house.  Jack passed away some time back at too early of an age.  He was a great potter/sculptor.

Winter demo II

watercolor
14" x 21"
landscape

Here is another demo that I did for one of my classes back in March.  So nice not to see all of that white stuff.  The grass is beginning to green up, flowers are beginning to sprout up.  The snow was nice at that time....look out...here comes the flowers.

Road Into Winter

watercolor
14" x 21"
landscape

We here in the Midwest have had so much snow this year that it is really unbelievable.  We are all at the point of...where do we put it now.  But it is lovely and it is paradise for the artist.  Enjoy the snow scenes that you will be seeing.  I love to paint snow....

Snow woman - wc on canvas

watercolor on canvas
12" x 12"

I had a little snowman workshop in the studio yesterday.  I did this little snow gal and everyone else did a snow guy.  lol.  It is always refreshing to see when a student gets excited to see something they completed.  They were all going to go home and hang them up right away.  The good part was since it was on the canvas and they finished the edges, they did not have to frame them.  No one was going to give their painting away as a gift....they did not want to part with them.

My New Ornament

watercolor
9" x 14"

These were done for this week's daily challenge on the Daily Paintworks Site.  There are hundreds of paintings to choose from for your holiday shopping.  Check mine out.

This is actually two sheets with 4 snowmen on each and I think they would look cute framed this way.

Today we had out first snow that stuck...

Snow Dunes

watercolor
4.5 x 7.5
landscape

I have my students working on fall and winter little paintings that are this size (4.5" x 7.5") and they frame up very nicely in a 9" x 12" frame.  For some of my students, this is the first time that they are framing something.  These are a great size for gift giving...

Gala Paintings lll

watercolor 3" x 4"
landscape

There are going to be 20 little paintings that are small....3" x 4" to 5" x 7" or there abouts. The chairman decided that the paintings were too much of a donation with all the other stuff that I am doing and giving, that she wanted me to keep the originals.  There will be colored copies of these in silver frames that will be part of the table decorations for the Chesterton Art Center's Nov. 1 gala in Chesterton, Indiana.  So these originals will be for sale for $20 matted, plus postage.  They would make nice little gifts with the holidays just around the corner.
