Chicago on a sunny- snow filled day.  I think we only had 2 snow falls so far this year.  Right now we are having snow...let's see how much we will have when we wake up.

I currently have an exhibit at the South Shore Atrium Gallery, at the center for the visual and performing arts, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, In. I have 29 paintings of Chicago.  The artist reception is March 6 from 2-5.  The show is up till March 23. If you live locally...check it out.

You can find all the Chinese food that you want on the south side of Chicago in China Town...Ahhh  soooooooooo.

Florence Hotel

 This is the area of the South Side of Chicago called Pullman.  It has recently become a national park/monument.  Unfortunately, this hotel is closed at present.  Maybe now  they will reopen it again.

This is a typical scene in Chicago.  The top one was the first attempt and them I challenged myself to paint looser.   I do not think I painted it too much looser. Oh well.  It was fun to do.

Heading to the Field-Soldier -- Chicago

This is a walk way to Soldier Field in Chicago.   People are going to see the Bears play football.  It was not a good year for the team this season...oh well...maybe 2015.

Chicago is fortunate enough to have two major baseball teams.  Right now both of them are playing what we call "Crosstown Games."  2 games were played here at Wrigley field which is the home of the Chicago Cubs.  Fortunately for us Sox fans, we won the first two that were held here.  Now we go to the south side of Chicago and hopefully the Sox will take the games there :))

This is the 100th anniversary of Wrigley field.

Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack....I don't care if I ever come back....

This is actually the Bank of America Theatre in Chicago.  I changed the title on the marque to read....9 to 5 and I toned it down a bit.  I thought I took a photo of it but I guess I didn't.  It is now framed so I may just have to take it apart to shoot it...enjoy.

This to me is the entrance into the city of Chicago.  I am just leaving Indiana and heading into the city.....I love crossing this bridge.

Here is a painting of Chicago.  I will be doing a lot of Chicago scenes.  I went up to Chicago with my dear hubby on Sunday and I shot 574 photos.  Thank God we do not have to use film anymore and we can print the ones that we want at our own convenience in our own homes.  WE have come a long way baby!!

It is funny, but I never really gave it much thought...what do they do with the snow in Chicago...namely, the Loop.  There is no where to snow blow it.  They have to get pay loaders and bobcats to remove it.  Stay warm....as it is snowing again.  Let's see how much we get by am.
