Art in the Park...not good.

The Art Student 12 x 12

Park Full of Art...Disaster! It was 95 degrees both days and was really humid. So that makes for less people attending. And that makes for poor sales. Then on Sunday a big storm blew through. Even with my tent all zipper up with 6 people in it, we all got wet and so did the paintings. I will have to reframe 5 of them. Four of which were my new ones. Fortunately, the 70 MPH winds that were 5 miles away did not reach us. I can not imagine what would have happened if that came through this park. It ripped up trees in the neighboring town. So if I look at it that way, it was a good show. lol.

Here's a photo of my booth. There are paintings on the sides and on the back too that I did not take photos of.

The "Art Student" this is where I teach some watercolor classes. So I just wanted to have a little fun and make up this little cartoonish type painting.

What a bummer about your show! And you have to reframe some of your paintings! That's awful.

But it's awesome that you stuck it out, next time will be great I'm sure :)

And I love your little art student painting, looks so fun:)

It's a pitty, but don't worry Kathy, the next time will be better. The most important thing is you can paint so well as usual. LOL.

Outdoor shows always have this risk and its really bad that you had to bear this... But anyway 5 paintings to be reframes is better than 10 which is better than all. :)

@Crystal...it is aweful but what can you do. At least the paintings didn't get ruined. Maybe I am supposed to have different colors of mats on them. lol The art student was a funky thing to do. It is a neat art center that we have about 45 minutes from my house. So the potter in the painting is my frined who passed away a year ago. I am the artist teaching a class in the upper right hand corner. We have plenty of exhibit here so I had to show people enjoying art.

@ Ramesh...There is always somthing good that comes out of it...I will just wait for it.

@ Julian... I had to look to see if it was you with a hose trying to get my wc wet to see if I use the best paints out. I do!!! MPDR

@ Prabal...I like your thinking. So do you want to come and help reframe? Last year the weather was awesome and I did my best sales then. I wonder what happened to that money...:)

Thanks all for your kind support. It is very comforting!!
