No Weddings Today-Deep River Park, Indiana

watercolor
14" x 21"
landscape

This is a painting that I did last month and I am finally getting to posting it. It is a local park area where the water mill is at (a previous post). It is a lovely gazebo and many weddings are performed here and many brides just come to this area to have photos taken. There is a lovely river here, too. It's a great place for picnics. I plan to bring a class here to do plein air painting. Come on to Indiana...there is so much to see.

Hi Kathy. Though a snow scene, it's so warm! Wonderful, rich colors in the gazebo roof and tree-line.

Hi Catherine....yes, it is a warmer - cool painting. It is really summer weather these last 2 weeks of winter. We have had snow this time of year. It has been so wonderful....

it is fun to play with warms and cools in a painting, too.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.

Great painting. I love winter scenes but this is one of my favourites. I love the amount of light in this and I can also see why this would be a great spot for wedding photos.

Hi Amanda...thanks for stopping by and for your comments. Glad to hear that you like my painting. I think you would like this Park. In the summer there are flowers all around the gazebo. I have done many paintings of it and I hope to do more...Have a great weekend!!
