watercolor 14 x 21

I decided to paint another scene of Chicago. I guess after being in Chicago for the Illinois Watercolor Society show on Friday...I fell in love with the city even more!!

I got a new computer and monitor today so it is completely different with the photo program and so is the blog...just give me some time and I will get it right. lol.

Nice lights. And the people are very interesting too. I see most of them have their shades on. :)

Hi Prabal...Yes, we have to protect our eyes...keep your shades on. That should have been the title for this painting. Thanks for the comment :))

Kathy..love this painting! You put a lot of detail into it...I don't know where to look first. The hanging flowers on the pole looks wonderful as well as the people and shading! Well done.

Hello Hmuxo,
Well I know that we are taught to just have one center of interest. Yes, this is good, but sometimes, we should have more than one. We want the viewer to travel around our painting and look at it all. The trick it not to keep it too busy. I would love to paint loose and simple, but that is just not my style. I have to paint like me and adnmire those with other styles. That is what it is all about.
Happy Painting.
