Upon the Sill

watercolor
10" x 20"
floral

This was what I saw on the window sill at the senior center a few months ago when I was teaching a class. I liked how the light was hitting the leaves. In the painting I had some of the walls showing, but decided to crop it out. I am getting a dark green mat made for it with a v-groove all around it. That should make it look groovy. lol.

It's a fine watercolor, shadows, light and color. It is great, the way you has used it over leaves and the pots. A good realization on how to paint a backlight. Only to upset you a bit, the frame in the middle breaks the composition. Luckily I've found something not as good as the remainder. I feel happy. MPDR.

Hi Julian...thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. It was a cool window and I was happy to have my camera in my purse. Do you carry your camera in you purse at all times. MPDR. The frame that you see in the middle is actually offset to the left and I wanted it to look like a window...I just cropped the wall out but I am hoping the mat I ordered will still give you that feeling.

Have a Happy Easter!!
