Purple Peonies II

watercolor

Here is a companion piece to the other peony that I painted. These are really this color and they do grow on a small tree. They are really unique. Really!!
Today I worked in the garden...weeding and planting. I wanted to do more this evening, but then it began to rain. Maybe my body needed a rest and needs to go and paint for a while. At least in the garden of my studio, there are no weeds to pull.
There is always tomorrow to plant more flowers.

Kathy,
Nice companions to the first one. Your consistency is amazing. We find a lot of purple flowers here in India. I hope you got your well deserved rest.

My dear Prabal who is always there with a comment for me. Do know that I really appreciate them all :)
I did finish another peony but that one is a different color. Keep watching.
The rest...turned out to be painting time. I did a rose yesterday and did one today. I am hoping to do another tomorrow. I am doing everything in series. lol
Thanks for stopping by.

I see this one is similar to the other day. Are you training to compete against me?. MPDR. This painting I like also as always.

Hi Kathy,
Your water colors are very very impressive. each feels like a lovely poem for me! This is a very charming work of purple peonies.. I liked the subtle humor regarding the garden studio.. isnt it a beauty that you dont have to pluck weeds there? :-)

Welcome padmaja, to my wc garden...glad you like my paintings...are you a poet? I do love to garden and I bought a bunch of different types of flowers today...then it rained so I will plant them tomorrow. Glad it doesn't rain in my studio garden or those weeds would really grow. lol Please come back.
