Fall Into Chicago-Lake Shore Drive

watercolor 14 x 21

Ok, we are back in Chicago. In fact, we are just entering the city on Lake Shore Drive. I decided to make this a fall day even though I took the photo while in the car in the summer. I have an artistic license so I can do that you know. I came up with the title so that is how I decided on the season. This one is painted on hot press 300# watercolor paper. Don't drive too fast!

I am thinking about changing the title to..."Chicago is on Fire, Again"

Thanks so much jyothisethu...I appreciate your comments and they do motivate me to continue painting. I do love the medium and plan on painting more Chicago scenes. I also have another idea for a series of some 5 x 7's. So do come back :)

Rogerio, thank you for your kind comments. I am in the studio now sketching out the next one. I have two classes to teach tomorrow so I may have to wait a day or two.
Do come back...please!

Hi, Kathy I love hot colors like these and I see you are going ahead with cityscapes, this is a yummy combination of colors that I have to copy them if you promise me not send the FBI to Spain to take me prisioner. By the way, in The United States, my daugther said to me that people drive cars very slowly,

Hi Julian, Yes, I am still bringing Chicago to you. I am glad that you like the painting, but it does remind me of the Chicago fire...I will be doing more of Chicago, so I hope you have your passport. I just sent you an email. I hope you don't mind.

Arti...have you ever been to Chicago. I will come and pick you up and show you the city :)
