There is Art Behind Those Doors..No Lion

watercolor 21 x 14

Another in my Chicago series. This is of the Art Institute of Chicago. In front of this building are these two lovely green lions. They protect the art?? At Christmas they have big wreaths around their necks. You can always see people sitting on the steps or just standing around and talking. I plan to do another of this area with the people doing just that, so keep watching.....

Hi Kathy, I have to reveal you a terrible secret, my watercolors are into the museum, lions are not protecting art, are avoiding seeing my works, He, He. Well, now something seriously, the lions are very well painted and the building also. When I saw your painting I thought you have been in Madrid taking some pictures. In our parlament there are two lions in front of the stairs like in your painting, so some day I'll try painting it and I hope you can verify it.
