Today we are still in Chicago, but this time we are at Navy Pier. If you hit Chicago, you must go and see Navy Pier. There is so much to see and do here. There is this giant Farris Wheel and you can see the whole city as you ride on it (well, lots of it anyways). There are shops, places to eat and drink, people are on stages performing, there is this gorgeous stained-glass exhibit, and tons of people...in all shapes and sizes. Today we are outside watching one of the tour boats leaving the docks.

Lovely. You are getting to be an expert on 'Chicago paintings' :). The Navy Pier is such a nice place to be. I remember that when I was there, they had this special music festival and both sides of the road that led to the stage was lined with makeshift stalls selling souvenirs and stuff. I picked up a few myself.
Go on. What's next ?
Sujit...it is a fun place. Hope the weather is nice and sunny on Sundy to drive up there and take more photos.
I still pick up souvenirs. Did you see the stained glass collection with even some Tiffany glass? It is just awesome...Hummmmmmm maybe that will be a painting.
I have the next one on the drawing board. I sold those 3 purple rose paintings today. Yeah...more paper and paint.
Thanks for your comments. They mean alot.
The painting is so lovely and lively; I feel as if I am there. It is especially interesting to me because my son has left for a trip to Chicago with his orchestra, and they are slated to visit Navy Pier. Now, I have a view of it from you!
Elizabeth, You son will have a great time. He will tell you all about the pier. I hope it will be lovely weather like the last few that we had. Today looks like rain. It is amazing the various types of people at the Pier or on the streets. I hope your son has a wonder time is this fast and lively city :) I am glad that you enjoyed the painting. Let me know what your son thinks about Chicago.
A sparkling sea-breeze special!
Sorry, "lake-breeze" special...
I can see a family scene, the sea, boat and buildings. All painting is inviting to go there but I have to content it with watching your lovely watercolor.
Hi Ron, some of us look at Lake Michigan as an ocean. It is a rather large lake. But it is special.
Welcome back Julian. Did you have a nice trip? Did you get lots of photos. Now you have to get busy and paint. Well, if you can not come here, then I will just have to paint more so you can visit through my paintings :)
